Fall Brings New Routines and Stability to Get Projects Back on Track
This has been a trying few months, to say the least. Now that summer is over, teams are back to full strength and process equipment projects are regaining their footing. The “shelter-in-place” order of the past several months has increased the comfort food business. Like one mother I chatted with recently exclaimed, “I am pretty sure you don’t eat 14 times a day at school!”, when referencing her children’s constant need for a snack. Virginia is home to many food companies, such as Frito Lay, Mondelelz (Nabisco), Sabra, Planter’s, Hershey, and of course we have “coffee alley” from Windsor to Suffolk. Any adult/parent who is dealing with an at-home learning environment surely needs their coffee!
Just like families are finding a new rhythm to their fall routine, Pace can help you get your project back on track. Our mission is to provide the best possible solutions, even during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our three core pillars are to be: reliable, resourceful, and respected. Our aim is to always listen to make sure we are meeting your needs and communicating clearly. As a part of our Covid-19 response, when our teams are onsite, we will wear our mask, socially distance, and wash our hands frequently. If meeting onsite isn’t possible, we can meet virtually via FaceTime, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or any other preferred communication platform. In fact, that may be one of the best developments to come out of Covid-19 – the ease of socially distant communication!
As we head into the final quarter of 2020, we’re already seeing a number of trends. A fair number of schools are working on facility improvements; one of which is updating their dust collection systems. With the students out, schools can upgrade the woodshop in preparation of the return to in-person instruction! We can help with duct work design, collector selection, and providing an isolation valve per NFPA guidelines. In a similar context, many cabinet shops are quite busy, as well, as the building products sector is running hard with housing starts on the increase and mortgage rates on the decrease. We recently partnered with SafeRack to offer portable partitions and see this as a continued offering as this pandemic remains active. As previously mentioned, the comfort/convenience food industry is thriving, and we anticipate that trend to continue throughout the fall and into the early winter.
From conveyors to bulk bag filling, screening, size reduction, and whatever dry bulk product you are handling, we have manufacturers that can meet your needs with food grade and/or robust finishes. With over 35 years in the business, Pace has built a number of partnerships; if we don’t have exactly what you need, we have the ability to get it for you to complete your next project. We are just a phone call, text message, or email away!
